ABA All-Star 3-point Shooting Contest



The ABA All-Star game between the East and the West team was played Saturday afternoon at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. A 3-point shooting contest was also held. Winning the 3-point contest was 6'-10" forward, J. R. VanHoose(E. Kentucky Energy). The contest was narrowewd to 4 players, and VanHoose was the winner.

Savannah Storm guard, Leon Frazier, Jr. finished fifth in the contest. Xavier Blain-Cruz, Savannah Storm PG/SG was a last minute entery.

Each contestant shot five balls from the left corner, five balls from the right corner, and five balls at the top of the key. Basketball racks were not used-staff handed the basketballs to the players to shoot. Each contestant had 45 seconds to shoot 15 basketballs.
