The Columbus Riverballers defeated the Savannah Storm 115-107 Saturday evening at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah.
After the first quarter, the Storm held a one point lead, 31-30. At the half, Savannah led 59-52. In the third quarter, Columbus outscored the Storm 33-17. For the game, the Riverballers made 30 out of 38 free throws.
Josh Walker and Leon Fraizer, Jr. led Savannah in scoring with 31 points each.
Dominique Hicks had an outstanding game for Columbus scoring 49 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. D. J. Hicks scored 33 points. Anthony Jackson added 15 points.
After the game, I met with Columbus Riverballers Head Coach, Alton Hicks, who made the following comments. "Savannah Storm played a good game. Not having a 24 second shot clock was the difference in the game. Are team was more patient with no shot clock."
